My goal is to make you a kick-ass website that not only showcases your incredible photography, but also shows who you are as a brand, a business, and as a person. As a photographer myself, I have a unique perspective as to what a photography business' website needs to be profitable. I want to create a place on the internet for your personality + photos to shine. I am also quite skilled at making things beautiful while also making them optimized for Google SEO. Not only will your current clients love the new look, but even more clients will come your way once you have a site that runs fast, is easily readable, and ranks higher on Google searches for your target market. I cannot wait to make something that will help grow your business and get you closer to your goals!
Full-time boudoir photographer, part-time web designer, my name is Crystal Shaw and I am a self-proclaimed art girlypop. From tattooing my friends to creating cool prints to hang on the wall, I love making art - however I can, wherever I can. Back in 2023, I took a look at my own website and realized it wasn't ME. It was beautiful, but not what it should be. I looked around and realized all the templates I loved still weren't perfect and they were expensive af. So with an "it can't be that hard" attitude, I decided to start my own website over again - from complete scratch. After hours and hours and hours, I created a website I love and a love for web design along the way. Now my goal is to create even more art, in the form of cool af websites, for my fellow photographer besties.
- We will meet up at a coffee shop or do a Zoom/FaceTime call to chat about your vision. I will ask you a million questions, so it's best to come into this with a little bit of an idea of what you want. If you don't know, that's okay! We can brainstorm it together.
- After our meeting, I will get to work on the bare bones of your site. Think layouts, content blocks, buttons, etc. While I am doing this, I will send you some Google Docs that you can use to start writing the copy for your site. I will have different prompts for each chunk of text I will need from you to make it a little less daunting.
- I will make the Home page first, since that's typically the star of the show. Once I have a rough draft, I will show you so we can talk about what works, what doesn't, and what just needs a little tweaking!
- When we have a solid home page that you love, I will work on completing your site. We will stay in pretty regular communication throughout the process to make sure everything is just how you like it. This is important to note- if it takes you 2-3 weeks to fill out the copy Doc or answer questions I have to ensure everything is perfect for you, it will take me an additional time to get the site done. If you're in busy season, maybe wait till things slow down, so we can both get this done efficiently, together.
- Once all web pages have been created, we will quadruple check every button, all the grammar, and make sure everything is 100% perfect. Then, we can transfer your domain over + get ready to launch!
- The Website: 5 custom web pages that showcase your brand + talent while attracting your dream clients. This typically includes a Home, About, Services, Portfolio, and Contact page.
- The Optimization: I will do everything I can to make your site Google SEO optimized. It will load fast, be readable on both mobile + desktop, and bring more clients your way.
- The SEO Guide: I will give you a 14 page guide so as you update your site in the future, you can keep it optimized, as well as take extra steps to boost your site's ranking.
- The Brand Guide: A curated color + font combo that you can use on Canva to make cute graphics that will match your site. ($400)
- The Wordpress Blog: I can help you integrate your WordPress blog into your site, so once you publish a blog it auto-updates to your site! ($300 if you already have a WP blog, $600 if you're new to WP Blogging)
- The Social Bundle: I will make you 10 graphics you can use to launch your site. These can be all for Insta stories or Insta posts (or a mix of the two!) Depending on what you're dreaming of for your launch day! ($150)
- The Extra Pages: If you feel like 5 just isn't enough, you can add on more pages to your site! These must be for the same brand as the main package. ($250 each)
- A ShowIt Account - I recommend getting the plan with the basic blog, but that's not mandatory if you don't plan on blogging through WordPress. Get a free month with this link!
- A Domain - AKA your URL. You can purchase these on WordPress or GoDaddy. If you need assistance with this, email me!
- JPEGmini - This app (available on Windows + Mac) will reduce the size of your photos without reducing quality. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!
- A Gallery - Make a gallery on Pixieset, PicTime, or whatever you use with 100ish of your all time favorite images. These need to align with your branding + your dream clients. If you don't want to shoot weddings at The Springs, don't put photos from The Springs lol. Make sure they all have consistent editing, so your clients know what they are going to get when they hire you!! If inclusivity is important to you (hopefully so) keep that in mind when looking through your photos. If you want to shoot multiple genres, please make folders with each for me(: Also, throw in some B-roll type photos (blurry/filmy/atmosphere/motion type photos. Stuff for the background!) THESE PHOTOS NEED TO BE RAN THROUGH JPEG MINI BEFORE BEING PUT IN THE GALLERY!
- Inspo! - Look at Pinterest, look at other photographer's sites, look at other vendor's/artist's sites.Find 2-4 sites that draw you in and feel like your vibe.
